Find answers to common questions about website platforms, development timelines, pricing, redesigns, ongoing support and website ownership.
How long does it take to design and develop a website?
The timeline depends on the number of pages, platform, design complexity, custom functionality, catalogue size, integrations and readiness of text, images and approvals. A basic site and a complex commerce implementation do not follow the same timeline. We provide a practical schedule after the scope is understood, including reviews and testing.
How can I redesign my existing website?
We start by reviewing the current website's page structure, content, visitor journey, functionality and mobile usability. We then agree on redesign goals, content to preserve, SEO considerations, revised layouts and testing requirements. Important existing URLs and useful internal links should be retained or handled through appropriate redirects when changes are unavoidable.
How much does a new website cost?
Cost depends on the chosen platform, pages, design customization, catalogue, third-party applications, integrations, content requirements and maintenance scope. Some platforms also charge subscriptions or transaction-related fees separately. After discussing your requirements, Docsico can prepare a quotation that identifies what is included and what would require additional work.
What should I look for in a full-service website-development company?
Look at actual project work, platform experience, clarity of scope, responsive design quality, functional testing, content considerations, support arrangements and pricing transparency. Ask who supplies the content and images, how approvals work, what access you receive and what happens if requirements change.
Do you provide maintenance after launch?
Website maintenance and support can be discussed as a separate or ongoing scope. Requirements may include content updates, usability improvements, technical checks and troubleshooting, subject to the selected platform and project agreement. Learn more about website management.
Can Docsico redesign my existing website?
Yes. We can review an existing website, identify areas to improve and agree on a practical redesign scope. Depending on the platform and project, this may involve design changes, content restructuring, mobile improvements, updated calls to action and testing. We aim to preserve important URLs and relevant content wherever appropriate.
Does Docsico develop websites other than Shopify stores?
Yes. Docsico supports WordPress/WooCommerce, Webflow, Wix and HTML/CSS/JavaScript front-end development in addition to Shopify. We discuss platform fit according to the website's goals, content workflow, integrations and maintenance needs.
Which is better for my online store: Shopify or WooCommerce?
Both can support e-commerce, but they differ in how stores are managed, hosted, extended and maintained. Shopify offers an integrated commerce platform, while WooCommerce operates as part of WordPress. The right choice depends on your business requirements and willingness to manage the associated technical responsibilities.
Do you work with clients outside Surat?
Docsico is based in Surat and can discuss website projects with businesses elsewhere in India. Remote projects can use calls, written briefs, shared design reviews, approval checkpoints and agreed project communication. Availability and delivery arrangements should be confirmed for each engagement.
Will my website be SEO-friendly?
We can plan SEO-aware page structure, readable content, metadata, internal navigation, responsive design and technical checks within the agreed scope. Ongoing SEO research and optimization are separate areas of work and search-engine rankings cannot be guaranteed. Explore SEO services.
Can Docsico connect payment gateways, shipping tools or other apps?
Where the selected platform supports the integration, we can assess compatible solutions and implement agreed connections. Third-party fees, account approvals and limitations are subject to the provider and the project scope.
Who owns the domain, content and website access?
Domain registration, website content, platform subscriptions and account access are handled according to the agreed project scope and applicable provider terms. Docsico will clarify the access and handover arrangements before the project begins. Source code, custom-developed files, theme source and other development assets are not automatically included in the standard website delivery or transferable by default. Where transfer is technically and contractually permitted, a separate code-handover service may be offered on request, subject to an additional fee and written approval. Third-party licensed components remain governed by their own terms.
Can you help with product images, content and videos?
Yes. Docsico offers related services including product photography, website messaging/content work and video production. These are included only when agreed in the project scope.
Can the website be expanded later?
Often yes, within the platform's capabilities. Planned expansion may include more pages, products, content collections or compatible integrations. Feasibility depends on the existing structure and any platform or application limitations.
Can you help market my website after launch?
Docsico also provides related marketing services. Depending on your goals, a post-launch plan may involve SEO, paid advertising, conversion improvements and content. Use confirmed service-page destinations once verified; do not link to placeholders.
What information do you need to start?
We usually begin with your business description, target audience, example websites you like, required pages or products, desired functions, existing domain/site details (if applicable), approximate timeline and available brand materials. A discussion helps determine what else is necessary.
